    Here is my 1931? K5 chest with the KT-1 tray but missing the handle. It is in the original black paint but quite faded. I have not yet seen one of these with “Chicago” embossed as they moved to the Wisconsin factory in 1932 so it would have been a one year maybe two year production.

    Exmaxima is correct, it is made by Kingston-Conley. I have the same one but badged Blue Point. Check back a few pages (p.90 of this thread). If it runs just leave it and use as a buffer. I looked into restoring mine as a grinder too but found no info or parts. I couldn't even source the...

    Nice vices! I too found a Record #3 that had been painted over and looked ugly but was mechanically fine. I applied some lacquer thinner and got it down to the original paint. I found new jaws on amazon from Irwin and they fit perfectly.
