    75*30 garage. Queries

Hi all, I've been on here a while, recently moved to the US from the UK. I'm looking at building a 75 ft by 30ft garage and I've had a local quote in NC for $33k for a delivered and build shed. Questions are, the building would be a box tube type frame, tek screwed together. Is that the normal...

Lighting suggestions - low level to light up car undersides

Hi all, I'm about to do the electrics on my garage, for a year I've been making do without hard wired electrics but its about to change: I'd like to consider ideas for low level lights, to help light up the under/sides of cars while being worked on. I also have Smarthings and Alexa in the...

acid etching concrete - in finished garage

Hi guys, So I've decided I'm not etching this floor, the building even with a small % of risk I'm not damaging with throwing acid around in puddles. I've 'ground' the floor with a floor sander. Yes I know this is not a floor grinder but its all they had and it has sorted most of it I think...

acid etching concrete - in finished garage

Hi, Thank you very much. The steel cladding has like a plasi-cote finish which is applied at the factory. I'm assuming this would be okay if in contact with citrus acid. Any brands you recommend or just look for a citric based acid cleaner? Thanks Jon

acid etching concrete - in finished garage

Hi guys, UK based but I'm looking to prep my slab now for paint. I should have acid etched the slab before the garage was built but it is on now, all finished and comprises of painted metal cladding panels - which I'd rather not eat away with acid at this stage. Is there an acid type that is...

Show me your grey solid epoxy floors

Hi guys, I'm finding it hard to decide on the epoxy colour I should go for in my garage. Goosewing Grey RAL 10A05 seems a good middle ground. The garage will be used for working in, so not just a park and shine area. I don't want anything overly dark but something that will hide scratches...

Squeegee - which one for 2 part expoxy

Hi guys, From the UK here, I'm trying to find a decent Squeegee for epoxy flooring, and im struggling a bit. Can you advise what I need to look out for when it comes to the blade - there seem to be a lot of them targeted towards hygiene but not towards epoxy application. Thank you. Jon

    Epoxy advice

Hi - thanks guys. Low points are areas where I 'over polished' the concrete with the power float - probably 4-7mm low in places of around 4"x6" or so. Thanks for your replies all. Is there a technical name for this products - concrete floor filler?

    Epoxy advice

Hi guys, I'm going to be epoxying my new garage floor soon - I've decided on a solid 2 pak epoxy colour, probably grey. The concrete is power floated though in ares there are the odd dips/low points. Would it be wrong for me to just use the epoxy coating itself as a 'filler' and skim over...

    Floor grinding

Does not look that bad imho - I think the photos are focusing on the major issues close up. It's not like it is cracked to hell.

    Racedeck install in Ohio

So why 'racedeck'? it seems quite popular over epoxy etc. It looks great that is for sure!
