Thanks for the info. I've laid tiles several times (kitchen/dining room floor, bathrooms and a back splash that needs grouting) but I've never done both thinset on the concrete board and back butter tiles. I've never done a room this large though. I'll be sure to follow your directions. Thanks!

Does it matter if the porcelain tile is glazed? Also, do you just back butter the tiles or did you build up a base of thinset?

The electrician said basically the same thing, but recommended to follow what the manufacturer wants in case of any issues that could void the warranty...

I called the electrician and he said that I can add a circuit if I want, there is room. Also the welder requires a 40AMP breaker- so off to Lowes I go to get a breaker, wire, box & outlet for my welder!
