Op still here... enjoying the abuse..... Seriously though, I appreciate all the comments. I also appreciate the extra floor space in my shop.

I plan on removing the gas tanks, exhaust, transmission and doing other work under the truck while on the drums. It is a very stable set up, the pictures make it look scary and that is why I posted them. I enjoy the abuse on here.

I already tested the drums by setting an 1800 lb block of steel on it at my shop, not worried about the drums. I have two cc cyclops, one for mowing and one with a snowblower, they are great. I also have a Cub, Super M and an F12.

The weight is spread pretty even, there is about 1200 lbs on each barrel. The barrels don't even know there is a truck on them.

This is my set up for working on my cars. Extremely stable with the jack stands.

Barrels have no problem handling the weight, you can grab the barrel under the front wheel and actually move it around.

I would invite any "snowflakes" to check out my lift setup. The lift along with two stands holds the car very solid.

You don't want to use the stands alone, meaning, lifting he car setting it on the jacks then removing the lift. I would not recommend that. But I have had a car on the lift along with he stands for an extended period of time(over a week), no problem. You could store a car indefinitely with the...

Sounds like you have a good idea, this lift will do exactly what you want. Make sure you get a couple of under hoist jack stands for when the car is up in the air to stabilize it. To put it against the back wall is a good idea but remember the "pallet Jack" and wheels take up about the same...
