50 amp rv hookup at detached garage

Looking to add a 50amp hookup near my detached garage for a camper. The garage feeder from house panel is 4 wire, and the ground/neutral are not tied together (didnt install the green screw) Camper hookups are 4 wire, 2 hots, ground and neutral. The way I understand it, nothing actually uses...

    Another garage heater vent question.

I installed my 80k heater late last fall. I too ran into a problem finding any cat. 3 vent locally. As a matter of fact, everywhere I called acted like I was from outter space when I mentioned cat 3. Not just box stores, local heating and gas companies. They all acted like they had never heard...

Wire choice for 200' run to garage?

I had a 165' run to my new shop. I ran 2-2-2-4 mobile home feeder wire in 2" conduit. By my voltage drop calculations, I'm good for 70 amps. 70 amp breakers are expensive and harder to find so I breakered at 60. I have a 2 post lift, air compressor etc with no issues. Sent from my SM-G973U...

    Advice from those witha 30x30

Ease of access. I have a 2 post lift that I had to be able to pull straight into the garage to get on it. If I had done a single, it would have to be offset to one side or put the lift closer to the center of the garage which I didn't want to do. Also, backing a trailer in one side is much...

Going to pull the trigger on a 2-post lift…what brands are good quality?

I went with the Dannmar 10K wide asymmetrical lift for about $2900. It is ALI certified. Its decent. Ive been a tech in a dealership for 20+ years so I have plenty of experience using 2 post lifts. The Rotary was my first choice but it was a good $1500 more and I was running out of money...

    Big Maxx 80k questions

I've done a lot of searching and came up with most of my answers, but still have a couple I could use some help with. I've got the heater mounted to the ceiling, and getting ready to do my vent. Hoping to order all the pieces and do it in one shot, as no local supply for cat 3 piping...

Solar LED dawn to dusk light

My suggestion would be to get a dusk to dawn light instead of a dawn to dusk. Be alot more useful. LOL. Just giving you a hard time, I'm interested in a similar light. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

    39$/sq ft for concrete slab!!!

I did a 30x30 block foundation (built on a slope) 5 blocks high at the back and 1 block at front sitting on a 12x12 footing. Filled foundation with 70 tons of 3/4 washed stone, #4 rebar on 18" centers, 6-7" of 4000 psi concrete for under $11/sq ft. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

    Underground conduit into crawlspace

Just went through the same situation 2 weeks ago. Came into the house through an LB with MHF in 2" conduit into a 12x12 junction box. Used Polaris connectors to transition to SER and ran that about 15ft up into my panel. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

    Spinning concrete anchor

I bought the $97 10 amp drill with a coupon for $69. I couldn't make myself buy the HF bits. I bought a Bosch that was suitable for rebar at Lowe's for $30. Drilled all 12 holes thru 7" of concrete like butter. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

    26x30x10 Detached Garage

Looks great. Wish I had put just a little more thought into my insulation and wiring like you have. I was scared to try my hand at conduit. Never really done any of it. And my impatience got the best of me.......yet again. I'm suprised to see you didn't opt for insulated doors. Do you plan to...
