I have both. The smaller one is better for blowing off bikes because of the smaller tip. It still works from blowing out the garage but I tend to grab the bigger one for that.

I haven't had a chance to use them yet but initially I'm not very fond of the selection lever on the Proto but for $20 I figured I would give it a shot. Up until a year ago I was using a SnapOn F936 so I don't think the tooth count is going to bother me.
