So no ceiling then; a "hot roof" setup where insulation and paneling is attached directly to the underside of the roof. Not ideal, but... -

Are these vents in the attic area or conditioned space? Are there soffit or other vents to that space?

I think they are great , when I go away for vacation or whatever ,I unplug my electric opener and push this lock on , safety for sure.

they are very common when no opener or outside key is used . and yes, very simple & effective .
