Has anybody used a heatpump water heater for radiant floor heat?
I know they make heatpump water heaters mount to hot water tank these go outside and the ones with tanks go inside.
It will definitely short cycle too much but with no humidity it might work . A 9K unit is way over sized also but that is the smallest mini split available.
I put a mini split partially over a bay window. The original window in the house was larger than the one in now. I used a 4" hole saw to drill through header but there was support studs on both sides of the hole.
Remember there is a condensate drain line and it only uses gravity.
I installed in there dining/living room one zone. Will be try min heat function this winter when they go to FL but will use oil heat as backup.
Looking for any experiences with use of minimum heat setting.
Anybody install Fujitsu mini split heatpump and used the minimum heat setting of 50 degrees F?
Any other mini splits with this option?
I just installed one at my parents house and was reading manual. Thought this would be good for my garage.
How should the concrete floor in a pole barn be insulated for radiant floor heating? Does just the slab need to be insulated on the sides and underneath w/2"board and vapor barrier?
