I drive a fairly low 300zx and when Im facing drastic elevation changes I tend to attack the change at an angle vs perpendicular. I find there is far less of a chance to drag. might be worth a try.

The color is called "smooth yellow" actually. Its a Boyd Coddington signature color from the hot hues line by Dupont.. of the 2500 slicktops produced in the 6 year run there were two painted yellow and I never much cared for that metallic pearl yellow.
