Re: what did you do in your garage today? Working on a repainting Matco tool box I picked up from an estate sale. My girlfriend is helping with the project which is cool!

I have used Lexan for the back-splash. I painted the back side of it like you were talking about and it looked great. I used a Maple top for the bench. I don't think I would put it on the bench because of the potential for cracking unless you do not do any heavy work on it.

Decent idea poor execution! My son is 8 and can weld better then that. Price is not even close! If a person is going to build something to sell and they want to charge highend prices the work must be over the top. check out the holes cut into the I beams, not smooth at all. Sorry
