Finished! 1 1/2 faces from McMaster Carr. Twelve bucks apiece, plus shipping. New hammer, forty bucks plus shipping. So I saved maybe twenty bucks, didn’t have to throw it out, got some time in on the lathe. Probably made about two buck an hour.

If you look carefully you will see that’s not your common saw chain. It is sharpened by filing/grinding the tops of the teeth. It was available on some saws in the sixties, with a sharpener built into the saw. It was called barracuda chain. Oregon now has a similar chain called Powersharp.

My old Craftsman box has a separately lockable drawer for valuables. Same idea.
