    Athol Vise Restoration

Colors...colors. I did the "John Deere" paint scheme early in this thread, and I didn't do the letters.... Hmmm now I think I should have. I'm negotiating right now on a 6xx-1/2 Athol right now. Originally they had it on Ebay for $100, and I want to offer 30-40, she will prob tell me to take...

    Wilton Vise History

Just a quick note, and sorry if you already know this but there are 2 kinds of patents. Utility and design. A utility patent is for a process, or the way something gets done, and a design is simply that, and they start with a "D". I vise could get a design patent just because of it's unique...

    Charles Parker 39X Vise

Bill, thanks for the info. Mine acually opens to 8-1/2". Maybe it's 6" when all of the threads are engaged. Interesting about the screw in the front of the handle! I didn't know what that was for, and last night I cut short pieces of rubber hose to act as bumpers so the balls at the ends of...

    Charles Parker 39X Vise

Ok, here it is. I just used paint I had in stock, and clear coated it. I'm gonna remove the paint from the handle itself, and maybe add some rubber bumpers (grommets?) at each end. Well, maybe not. Do I have to upload my pics to a host? I can't just upload them from my PC?

    Freebies-What have you been given?

A customer gave me a military 513-T Remington target rifle. I've seen them go for about 6-800 dollars. Unfortunately the Sheriff has it right now.

Hello all, I am a new member and I am really excited about finding this site. I just cannot wait to browse through. I have owned this vise for several years, and it has been packed away for the last 5 because of a move. This last week I have been re-assembling my workbench, and getting the...
