    T-Track issues? (Router Table)

I agree with RTM - either put short slots on the fence where the T-bolts go through or even just oversize holes with washers. I had a similar situation to yours and just giving a bit of slop on the fence holes took care of it for me.

    Sturdy shop towel holder?

Well I understand jweller not wanting to post a simple thrown together from scrap holder, but here is one I made. Nothing special but it works and did not take much time to make.

Making a very heavy tablesaw portable/storable??

If you want to keep the "vintage" look, how about a vintage mobile base design? I have a thing for old plans and have this in my files - originally published in Popular Mechanics magazine, April 1949. It is available on Google Books - there are three pages with full plans. As stated earlier...

    Craftmen tablesaw 103.0120

A great source of information for old woodworking equipment (including copies of manuals, photos, history, etc.) is available at vintagemachinery.org. I did a quick check there but did not find anything on Craftsman 103.0120 - are you sure that number is correct? There are lots and lots of...

Combining two compressors for more capacity

I have used two compressors piped together for exactly what you need (more CFM for sandblasting in my case). I just used a "tee" to connect the output hoses from each of the two compressors, and the third side of the tee to the blaster. Just turn on both compressors and that is it. My two...

Yet another what is it thread

Craftsman sold a couple versions of these molding heads; I have one (that was my father's) that has three cutters of each style instead of one. The single cutter of course only takes one cut per rotation vs. three, so you need to be more careful and slow with the feed rate as Miss the Pontiacs...

    Tilting Arbor Saw

Jake381 - If you have not yet done this, go to www.vintagemachinery.org They have loads of information, including photos, ads, scanned manuals, etc. of all types of old woodworking machinery. I just took a quick look and see photos of saws very similar to yours under the American Machine &...

What to build with old brake rotors?

How about using them as bases for Tiki Torches? I used air hammer chambers for the torch.

How to install long roof panels.......by yourself

I used a second ladder as a support to pull sheets onto the roof. I had a little sled that I attached the top of the sheet (drilled a hole in the top of the sheet to hold it to the sled) and pulled the sled/sheet up using a rope and pulley at the ridge. I used a sled because I was re-roofing...

Installing window AC in wide window?

I work in a 100 year old building with very large double-hung windows. They built wood frames to fit in the window opening and hold a window a/c unit. The space between the a/c unit and the window frame is fitted with glass (or plastic) rather than plywood or solid panels. Same basic concept...

    OLD Craftsman Table Saw

I believe that is a somewhat rare "builder's saw" model. It could be used as a normal table saw, but the blade arbor is on a sliding mechanism which allows it to be pulled through a stationary work piece. The handle for pulling the blade through the work piece is not on this saw - it comes up...

    Wrench from my family farm

I believe what you have there is a wire or fence stretcher. I did a quick search for "vintage wire stretcher" and there are some on ebay auctions right now that look just like it.

    CFL lamps becoming obsolete ??

I say good! I never liked CFL's. Maybe I had some bad luck, or bought the wrong brands, but they never lasted very long for me. I have almost completely switched to LED's and I think they are a very big improvement.

    Carter bandsaw guide Owners ??

I have a similar Delta clone, almost 30 years old now (mine was labeled Bridgewood - sold by Wilke Machinery). I had to replace the guides a year or so ago because the upper guide broke. I got the Carter set and have been very pleased - they work better than the original set. It is still not...

Don't shoot me if this has been asked before, can pex be used for airlines?

I am not going to add anything about piping materials. I just want to say that posters do NOT get shot at here for asking questions that have been answered before. They get tarred and feathered . . .
