Just saw this post and had to respond. I have had the same jack for 35 years and it is the BEST. Like was stated earlier, no seals to leak and it is great for rwd, although I have used it for fwd also. Made adapters for most transfer cases also. Great score.

I forgot to say that I removed all a/c function and cut the size in half and it resides under my workbench.

My shop is 24x32 with 14 ft ceiling at the peak, 9.5 feet at outside walls and I heat it wiyh an electric furnace a friend gave me when he replaced the entire HVAC system in his 2100 sq. ft. house. Can't remember the size of the furnace but I run it with one of the heating elements disconnected...

Do not use a impact on a trailer jack, won't last long, not designed for it. Use a good cordless drill, will work fine.
