I have a new garage, roughly 34 wide by 27 deep 13ft ceilings, 2 x6 construction, insulated and drywalled with gas line and outlet already installed. however I didn't have them cut the vent into the roof. so my question being about 950sqft. should I get a ventless wall mount using my natural gas 30,000 btu with blower fan? or should I cut the vent in and go conventional gas loud heater like a modine or whichever brand farm and fleet carries.... I don't need it 80 degrees, but 60 is nice....

My shop is 24x32 with 14 ft ceiling at the peak, 9.5 feet at outside walls and I heat it wiyh
an electric furnace a friend gave me when he replaced the entire HVAC system in his
2100 sq. ft. house. Can't remember the size of the furnace but I run it with one of the
heating elements disconnected and it works great. We do have cold weather here in Mo.
Did same thing once before but used a small unit from a mobile home, it was free also.
I will say that my shop is has R34 in ceiling and R19 in the walls, which are 2x6. You do need at least 60 amp for this, maybe more. I like free, cuts down costs.

I forgot to say that I removed all a/c function and cut the size in half and it resides
under my workbench.
