    3/8" Socket Spinners!

In 1967 our Army issued airframe repair tool box contained a 3/8 drive reversable spinner. It was so smooth. Always assumed there was some sort of a sprag in the mechanism. Don't remember makers name, just that it had a red plastic type handle. I think I had a couple of them when I got out of...

Help ID old wooden clamp type device

It looks like a beauticians wig holder. The ones I have seen were a lot newer, made from plastic and had a clamp to fasten to a table top or bench. The tapered pin held a bald Mannequin head to fit the wig on and could be rotated and adjusted to suit. In your pictures I can't see if there is...

Can someone help me identify this tool!

I think on the t-handled tool you should be searching Buckeye Oil Equipment, Dayton Ohio. Back in the 50's thru the 80's I use to help install underground gasoline and diesel tanks for farmers and usually used what was called a flush fill box on those tanks. As Lugz said that tool was used on...

    P&C Stuff

On an online auction was bidding on a nice S-K Wayne tool box and a couple of other boxes and a few tools I really didn't pay any attention to in the pictures but got a nice surprise when I went to pick it up after I won the bid. P&C Tool co. no. 1921 24 inch aluminum level.

    The Tiny Tools Thread

One nite this last week I came up with a pretty nice small wrench set that I didn't realize I had and then a really small aluminum handled screwdriver. I thought then I needed to look up the tiny tool thread as I hadn't seen it in awhile. The thread made it back to page one and I went tonite to...

    C & H Rim Tool ?

I would say the Elkay driver that is pictured has a straight bladed driver with the centering sleeve instead of a 5/16 nutdriver. It was made to be used on the later self-******* stainless steel sinks. They were made with a small u track attached to the sink instead of the hudee ring. Made...

Herbrand 3/4" Ratchet - How to take apart?

I got this 3/4 cornwell ratchet a year or so ago and after looking at your herbrand I thought the head looked similar so went out to the shop tonite and took a look. Looks very much the same. I have never used mine but according to AA it is a gearless and I believe I've read that it is not able...

    C & H Rim Tool ?

It looks like a tool made to install a kitchen or bathroom sink that uses a hudee stainless ring or the newer style self ******* stainless steel sink. There is very little room to get around the sink to install the j-hooks which have a 5/16 head screw in them to hold the sink in place. Some of...

    Vintage S-K Tools

That was my first impression of this Artisan adjustable, Asian, but it is made in USA. I got it in a box lot at an auction that had something in it that I wanted. I had just finished reading the 82 pages of Vintage S-K Tools and just was wondering if S-K or Lectrolite made more than the...

    Vintage S-K Tools

I came acrossed this Artisan 12" adjustable and I'm wondering if it has any connection to S-K Lectrolite like the Artisan ratchets? I did a bit of searching but didn't come up with any manufacturer for Artisan adjustables. There are some similarities. I'm assuming Lectrolite made there own...

    Vintage S-K Tools

Don, I've looked at your set several times and it always seems your box appears to be wider than mine. My box is 17" x 3 1/2" x 1 3/4" deep. Is it just my eyes playing tricks on me? Harry (Gary)

Vintage Xcelite or other Nut Driver Sets

I recently came across a nutdriver of sorts. No makers name just a part or model #. The nut driver is 7/16 and the hex is 1/8. I'm assuming it is made to adjust something with a locking nut. Any ideas on use or application?
