    perma-grime? gloves?

I'm with you guys on this. When I was younger, I didn't worry too much about PPE. As I get older, I realize my hearing isn't great from years of shooting with no ear protection. I also worry more about chemical exposure.. protecting my hands...and my eyes.. I wont get near a wire wheel without...

I'm so confused. Help me out here

use what ya got. I will abuse a cheap socket to press in a bearing..or will hit it hard with an impact, the good sockets get used hard, but not abused that way. It's all about what you need to do to get the job done..I don't even think about resale value...If my tools are up for sale, I am dead.

    Removing rusty bolts with propane

It MAY work.it is worth a try , as I have done it a few times. I have been surprised how well it has worked in some situations... When others said it it would not heat enough. Impacts, torches, and air hammers help you out of jams!

    Harbor Freight all-stars

Do they still offer the large 4 magnet tray? I Had to re-glue a couple of magnets on mine, but no big deal, great tray for a fraction of others. 4 piece Pitt pro 3/8" locking extensions..locktite the set screws, and good to go. Torque wrenches..I compare mine to my beam type often, and they are...

    Tool carts?

With a tool cart you will be storing your most used (most valuable to your job) tools. Security is an important factor, and a one drawer cart will not provide it..there is not enough room to keep everything locked up. What would happen if just your 3/8" drive 8 through 19mm sockets came up...

2009 ford ranger climate control system

My first thought would the the blend door actuator, It is a common issue. I'll try to post a link that may help..."Tests/Procedures: 1. Access the Blend Door Actuator (BDA) and verify battery voltage is present on the Green/Brown (GN/BN) wire from fuse 27 (10 amp) of the Smart Junction Box...

    Empty blow mold case sources?

I have customized a few blow molded cases by cutting out the area where it is molded to the tools shapes, It opens up the whole case and gives you more options. This way you don't have to find the ideal case, just the right sized one. It is pretty quick and easy with a Dremel and a cutoff wheel.

    Let's talk tools!

Carlyle is all hand tools. If you want specialty tools look for NAPA service tools. Don't bother with evercraft tools..there are some good, but mostly bad. I had a chance to compare an evercraft brake line flaring tool to a Napa service tools one..no comparison..the NST one was ten times easier...

    Let's talk tools!

I am a tech at a NAPA autocare center, so my employee discount is better than the club discount...But I figured I would get a card to see how it worked. I had some downtime one day, so I covered for one of the counter guys. We weren't busy, so I did an experiment. I rang up several tools as cash...

    Let's talk tools!

Join the Carlyle club and get a discount. Your card number is entered at the counter as the account number. Let your NAPA know you are interested in tools, they may set you up an account to save you even more. Carlyle tools seem to be good quality, I use them everyday on the job. If you do...
