    Dewalt 12" miter saw

I had one of these and took it back, the center turntable sat low, so you couldn't get a consistent square cut with it. Check it with a straightedge to see if yours has the same problem. If there is a way to shim it up, it may not matter, but I didn't have time to mess with it then.

Florida Pneumatic 1/4" drive air ratchet for $40 shipped

I have been using mine for the last several days, and it has been fine. I think I preferred the form factor of my Matco one, but it didn't last a year of shop use. The .Florida one costs 1/3 as much, and seems like it has the potential to last even longer. This is my 3rd 1/4" ratchet, the first...

Air ratchets have a place for production work, you just have to know how and when to use them. For the most part, a real mechanic won't use hand tools for much of anything, as you lose money every minute using them. Torque doesn't matter much, as the high torque air ratchets beat you up and...

    Jump on this!

I guess the one I bought was $50, other sellers have tem at $100+. Easily a $100 air ratchet though. The head is a bit fat, but uses slide switches to reverse so you can do it one handed. Also a power regulator in the handle. Good little tool, and appears to be built heavy enough to outlast most...

Hi, Just got an email from ToolTopia for this 1/4" air ratchet....http://www.tooltopia.com/florida-pneumatic-733m.aspx Great deal, I think I paid closer to $100 for mine. Not sure how it will do over the years, as I have only used it a bit, but seems well made. Also quieter than my Matco one by...

What stubby wrenches do you like?

I have a set that were 5.99 at Ace, and work great. Even for pro use, they aren't that important. They also make great loaner tools, nobody is likely to keep them, and if they do you aren't out much.

    Belt sander recomendation

:p Just fixed the link, I had a space in it that didn't belong. I put this together because I couldn't find a good, inexpensive tool that would let me use all the cool belts. The 1" tools are underpowered, the 2" tools were either junky, or too fast, or used the wrong size belts, or cost too...

    Belt sander recomendation

Cool product, just not nearly as versatile and far more expensive. Mine makes use of a tool you already own to save you some bucks and space, and offers a larger variety of options for working surfaces. Think of it as getting an upgraded ProEdge sharpener and a 75% off coupon...

    Belt sander recomendation

Hello, I don't mean to spam, but I think this product would fit the needs of many posters here. It is the "Jiffy" Belt Sander Conversion at http://www.AKGrinders.comFairly inexpensive, low speeds allow knife and tool sharpening, ultra versatile... Take a look, it is my product, but it is one...
