Any way to remove drywall with out damaging it? Want to try and save a wall mural

Maybe a magnet or something to figure out exactly where the screw heads are, then surgically cutting around the screw heads with a small hole saw? You're going to wind up having to cut it into sections anyway, the drywall was taped an d mudded over the screw holes.

    Safety of Jack Stands

When HF ratchet stands got recalled a couple of years ago I realized I had been trusting my life to some chintzy shizz and got myself a set of Quckjacks, and two pair of 6 ton stands from US Jack. Actually US made from US components. https://www.usjack.com/products/garage-jack-stands

Just bought harbor freight 60 gal 5 hp compressor

Looks like these are extinct - gone from the HF website now. I had been looking forward to putting one in my new shop as soon as I recovered from the blow the pandemic dealt my business earlier this year - but they appear to be discontinued.

    Sticker Shock 30x40 New Build

For a point of reference, I just had a 30x50x12 pole barn on a slab with two 10x10 and one 9x7 garage doors, bubble insulation, one entry door and two windows built. Including the gutters and elaborate french drain that the city required and a 30x25 driveway, I was in at 46k in suburban...

    Schluter Ditra tile products

I used the larger Ditra XL in my previous house in a 400 square foot kitchen/dining room/laundry room tile job. The install (my first tile job!) went really well and held up for the 5 years I continued to own the house with absolutely no cracks, no creaking, no problems. You will be using a...

This is very interesting to me as I just received a quote to build a 30x50x12 pole barn style metal building in suburban Nashville, with very similar specifications to yours. 4" 3500psi slab with 8"x12" perimeter footers and 4'x4'x6" pads for the lift. Two 10x10, one 9x7 garage doors, two 36x80...

    Teng Tools Giveaway

I thought Teng was the "drink of the astronauts". Wait, that's Tang. Either way, these look like nice tools. I'm still using the c-man stuff I bought in high school 25 years ago, so maybe its time for an upgrade.

What to do with 5 gallon pails?

I always bring a 5 gallon bucket with me when I go to the junkyard. Provides a great place to sit when pulling parts off a car, or a handy step stool to get into an engine bay, and then you've got something to carry all the parts up to the cashier

    Need Shop Moving Options

We shipped an entire house worth of furniture, electronics etc.. from LA to Hawaii using Upack (similar to Pods), and while expensive, NOTHING was broken or damaged in any way. That's from my driveway onto a truck, off of that truck onto another one, moved around a port, loaded on a ship...

Quiet and long life modest air compressor?

I bought one of these Ingersoll Rand Garage Mate compressors 4 years ago, and it has been completely satisfactory to my needs - which are similar to yours; tires, the occasional air nailer, needle scaler, impact wrench. It runs a detail gun just fine but it isn't quite up to a full size HVLP...

    Buffalo drill press

I have a somewhat newer Buffalo 15, and it is a great press. Almost zero runout. The company is still alive and making new presses right there in Buffalo, and they have parts!

    Show Me Homebuilt Storage Cabinets

I made some simple cabinets out of 3/4" plywood, with 1/2" plywood doors and 1x2 furring strips for the face frames (had to weed through a ton to find some straight ones). I figured out that if I kept the depth to 16", and the width to 32", I could make a whole cabinet out of one sheet of...
