I still would strongly consider the belt driven models. Atleast try to find a good one on CL and hear it run. I think you'll be surprised how comparably quiet they are.

Well, it finally happened. My Craftsman radial arm saw (made in the mid 1980's) bit the dust this afternoon. The motor is letting out a bunch of smoke and upon inspection I've found numerous burnt windings in the motor. Annoyingly I just built the radial arm saw into a custom 10 foot long...

The drawers come out, they're ~30-40% of the weight alone. I unloaded mine out of a silverado with a friend - no problem.

The price tracker I use (Tracktor) shows it at 74.03 twice this year - Jan 10th and roughly Feb 1st. Normally 90 bucks. This is the highest price in a while....

I'll throw another vote in there in the 1750-2250 range. We don't know what's in the bottom drawers, but I'm guessing diagnostics tools and the likes. If you read through the Garage Sale thread you'll get a feeling for what other people are paying for similar stuff that you have pictured...

I'll throw another vote in here for Makita LXT. I personally like how they feel better than the Cman, Ryobi, Rigid drills - but I haven't tried the Milwaukee stuff much. Makita also seems to have a very complete line of tools (they advertise 85+). I've had a Makita hammer drill for years now...

This seems to be the consensus while discussing with co-workers. They simply forgot to update half the label when switching over manufacturing.

Ok, before replying, look at the photo carefully. I understand some interpretations that Taiwan is part of China for political reasons, but never the other way around. Made in China? Made in Taiwan. I actually think they're made in Taiwan. Either way I'm very happy with my new set of shiny bits!
