    Best do it yourself epoxy

Im in Kansas. The garage sees a lot of heavy use as we often have a project car and do all of our own maintenance on our daily drivers, the newest of which is a 2003 Chevy and the oldest a '97 Beemer, as well as our boat. As far as finished product, function is priority as it's not a show...

    Best do it yourself epoxy

We are moving into a new home and figure it's a great time to epoxy the floor while the garage is empty. I'm looking at Armorclad. Anyone have experience or can recommend a good epoxy kit? Also the garage floor is painted with flecks currently. What's the best way to prep the floor?

    Oil drain dolley

Any opinion on having a low profile oil drain dolley? I'm on the fence as to whether this would be useful in terms of keeping the garage neater or just a waste of money when my plastic pans do fine. I'm looking at the roughneck steel ones on northern tool with the hand pump.

    Surprise Garage Makeover

We're done and moving back in. 5.5 days for the renovation, now a few more to move and organize all the tools. Will get a good "after" shot today or tomorrow, but here are some progress pics. I still can't upload photos - help...

    Surprise Garage Makeover

No sisters, sorry. Work began Saturday afternoon and progress is good. Will upload progress pics tomorrow. The electrical work is almost complete. We replaced the 2 fluorescent light fixtures with 12, 1X4 recessed T8 fixtures. Holy ****, I can actually see now! The infrared heaters are...

    Unloading Maxjax Question

I would prefer to get it at the terminal as that would be easiest, however they aren't giving me the option. When I ordered I asked if I could do that and the answer was no, it comes to the house. I'll ask again when Conway calls to set up delivery.

    Unloading Maxjax Question

My Maxjax should arrive next week and I'm thinking about the easiest way to get it unloaded from the truck. It's coming direct to my house via Conway Freight. I know I could pay a liftgate fee, but I'd rather get something to use again and have been waiting for an excuse to get one of these...

    Surprise Garage Makeover

Yeah, since we moved in a year ago, it hasn't gotten out of control. That's the reason this is the first house project - get to it before it does due to lack of good storage and add some nice extras for the hubby that I get to use as well. Me buying tools for my hubby is a lot like the typical...

    Surprise Garage Makeover

I considered that, but where I'm building this will be seen, somewhat, from the backyard/pool area. I'm planning to just frame up an area a bit bigger than the air compressor (in case we upgrade to a bigger one someday) and side it with the exact siding that matches the house. It will sit...

    Surprise Garage Makeover

I've been a lurker here for some time after I happened on a thread during a Google search for some garage thing or another. I've been researching and planning a surprise garage remodel for my husband. We both tinker on cars and our motorcycles and have a 10 month old boy who likely will have...

Mixing garage door opener brands - remote question

I'm planning to install a lift master direct drive opener on one bay because I need the extra headroom for a lift, but I don't on the other bay so I was wondering if anyone knew if Chamberlain systems - keyless entry pad, monitor, etc.- would be compatible with Liftmaster? I'm not finding...

    LED garage lighting

Me too, but garage is getting remodeled so I'd like to upgrade now. The rest of the house can wait. Garage is a priority anyway
