What I did looks like the second one but instead of having one 1 1/2" entry and several 1/2" stub outs I have three 1 1/2" stubouts to give easy access to future electrical runs and a cleaner look.

I just bought a welding table just because the steel prices are so high. For a top it is using a 1/2" plate used for cover open trench during road construction. The top is 7 feet by 4 feet. It has solid casters to move it but I just chain it to my 67 M715 since it weighs a ton.

If it's got **** or wheels you're going to have trouble with it.:thumbup:
