    Anybody ever use directbuy.com?

It's a scam and waste of money. I'd be surprised if they were still in business a year or two from now.

    Wall mounted shop vac

I have a Craftsman and I'd tell you to not bother with one of these little (wall-mounted) vacs. They lack the oomph to really do anything, so I end up using my Shopvac all the time anyway.

    Stairs to loft?

This was a clever way I made steps at my old garage. I was limited by neighborhood covenants that I couldn't have an outside stairwell. I also hated giving up the floorspace. So.....two cheapie HF (on sale) electric hoist motors later.... These stairs pivot and lift up and out of the way.

    Pegboard pics

Any chance some of you folks can post pics of your tools hanging from pegboard? I'm especially curious to see grinders, air tools and your larger, heavier stuff. THANKS!

How far should a 2 post lift be off the front wall?

You have to figure that a car or truck might be 13 or 14 feet long, so you'd want the center of the lift to be at least 7 or 8 feet from the wall. I left 12 feet so I have room to get around the front and work.

    Pegboard as a finished wall?

I did most of the walls in pegboard furred off the sheetrocked walls. I decided to use the drywall for fire, insulation, etc.

    Pegboard Vs Tool Box

Buy it quick. I'm pretty sure they are dropping the silver. At least that's what they told me (it was going away). I had to go to four Lowe's to find it. I used about 20 sheets of it on my new project.

    Progress pics on my garage/barn

Thanks and I usually do go to Mustang Week. My funnest toy is at the paint shop now. My 67 Eleanor-influenced, supercharged 460'd, air-suspensioned fastback. It'll be on over-the-top orange. :)

    Gargage loft stairs - ideas?

I'm not sure if this would work for you, or is even what you are asking about. But I used to live in a gated community that wouldn't allow exterior steps. Nor did I want to give up the floorspace. I made two sets of retractable steps on pivots and used cheapie motors I got from HF to lift...

    Tire storage or rack

I'm looking for ideas on storing as many as eight tire/wheels on a wall, overhead. Preferably this would be a wood vs metal project. Any ideas? Thanks all.

    Locking the barn door?

Maybe I could make some sort of center stop on the track? Anyone have an idea on that??

    Locking the barn door?

??? Not sure what you mean?? Hasp the door to the door frame maybe? I'd only have to do one side I guess. I'm really not sure how else I could do it.

    Locking the barn door?

So the frame is built, I have it covered and now I'm trying to secure it. I have two 8' x 10' doors on a 32' track. I want to lock it from the outside, so I'm planning on using a hasp type of device. How can I lock it from moving from side to side though? I can lock both doors together, but...
