Nice Snap On toolset and box in Central California

Most of the replies I'm reading here are pretty understandable and lucid. If it's that great of a deal and there's that much excess liquidity in his area then he should have no problem selling it. Turning wrenches is not what I do for a living so it doesn't become a deal for me until the price...

Harbor Freight Sale Includes 44-Inch Chest for $349.00

Ok, nolimits, I went to lay hands on the Harbor Freight 44 and...wow. There must be a catch. Everything in Mister Moose's write up was spot on. Hands down it is more solid than the Kobalt stainless box. At $349.00, I can't say no.

Harbor Freight Sale Includes 44-Inch Chest for $349.00

Yeah, those disclaimers are buzz killers. And I was all set to grab a 41-inch Kobalt from Lowes. But after reading Mister Moose's review of this HF box, and at $349.00, I may have to pull the trigger on it.

Harbor Freight Sale Includes 44-Inch Chest for $349.00

Just got the Harbor Freight sale paper for March 6,7 and 8 (2015). And the US General 44-inch, 13-drawer rolling chest will be on sale for $349.00. Pretty good deal on a great chest if anyone is in the market. Here's a link to the sale paper...

    New SK Ratchet/Sockets Experience

I'm not a professional wrencher, but I thought I'd add my 1.5 cents worth of Everyman's review of the new SK ratchet and sockets after spending the weekend adjusting the valves and replacing the exhaust on my BMW R1200C. I'll get right to the point, I was thoroughly impressed. My dad was a drag...

Breaker Bar -vs- Sliding T Bar

At the risk of resurrecting an old thread, I'll add my two cents. I use the T-handle quite a bit on motorcycles for removing valve head covers and exhaust headers. I also usually use them with an extension to remove spark plugs simply because I get a better feel for how the plug is coming out...

Stupid Q on Hand Impact Driver Bits

Pardon my ignorance, but does anyone know if the bits in the Snap On bit set (236EFSET) can be used with a hand impact driver? As I've been getting more into old bicycle restoration lately, I've been scrounging for a hand impact driver. The Snap on version seems to come with the same bits that...

    Greetings!

Thanks for the info, Drives. I'll certainly do that. Howdy back, 1nterceptor. And you are right; got the name from Kramer on Seinfeld. I was addicted to that show for years. I have a feeling gahrajmahal suspected that, too.

    Greetings!

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. Yes, posting pics to a forum's rather restrictive standards is a challenge. I'll see what I can put together. Dad drove a modified '32 Willys in the drag racing days. I'll see if I can scan a few of the old pics.

    painting garage walls

Hey, Joe - Do you have any pics handy of your garage with that light silver? If so, I'd really like to see them. Sounds pretty cool. Just insulated/drywalled my garage and I'm thinking of going with the same Valspar paint.

    Greetings!

Hi, Fellow Journalists - I've been a long time lurker here, usually to gather insights and opinions before making some tool purchases. Although my dad was a mechanic and drag racer I am a weekend warrior at best. And I have found the conversations here to be most helpful. Looking forward to...
