Blackhawk floor jack ID & advice

Wow... Yes I concur!!! blue probably 1930s and red 1940s. I believe the styling changed and the rear wheel support and flanges changed considerably each decade 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. How did you go finding the hydraulic kits? The ones I purchased from AMERICA weren't that great, only...

    Early Blackhawk S4 Repair

Grandpopduck hello From Perth Western Australia! After recently finishing an Old Blackhawk Jack S23 in which I did a complete strip down and rebuild including water cutting new front lifting arm and rewelding in the old lifting pivot barrels, I can say that the hydraulic internals look fairly...

    Blackhawk S4 for resto

    1. Straightening out the Cover plate should be fairly straightforward. Use a couple of blocks of wood either side to prevent Hammer impact marks. 2. The top of the light mechanism is also bent in the photo. I might be tempted to heat it a little and gently using pliers move the ring holder...

    Vintage BLACKHAWK S-23 Jack restored!

It is with great Pleasure that I announce the re-Birth of a 1940s BLACKHAWK S-23. It has been a difficult birth as it needed: 1. Micro welding of Unijoint arms that link the hydraulic mechanism to the lifting handle yet still be small enough to pass through handle collar passage. 2. Two...

    Blackjack S-23 restoration

Here are photos of how to build a strong lift arm for the S-23 BLACKHAWK Jack. 1. The original liftarm was made from different thicknesses of Steel plate as seen in photos. 6.2mm and 6.7mm 2. The original liftarm was welded in misaligned which helped to distort the lifting action. 3. The...

    Help : Blackhawk Dating Codes

Blackhawk Curb Jack has in the saddle (lifting stirrup cup) the punched code of S-23 45 My guess is that the Jack is S-23 and the year is 1945... SO it makes it a wartime jack. Has anybody else found codes like this in their Blackhawk Jacks? Have you thought what they mean?

CRTDI, WOW, well Done!!! LOVE THE S-17 floor jack... Lovely restoration... thanks again for putting me straight on my Floor Jack which as you accurately said appears by saddle size of 5" to be a S-23. Would love to look at a 1940s blackhawk catalogue and 1960s Blackhawk catalogue just to...

    1955 Blackhawk Jack Catalog

CRTDI , Just as an Add on I noted that you are correct that it appears to be a s-23. I have made that assumption based upon the "SADDLE SIZE" of the floor jack is 5" so therefore it is a S-23. Do you know if anybody has other blackhawk manuals of 1940s and 1960s?

    1955 Blackhawk Jack Catalog

DEAR CRTDI, thanks so much, for scanning the BLACKHAWK 1955 Catalogue. I can see that the photos I have of my blackhawk floor jack are very similar... The handle twist knob is different in mine but its very close. So it may be the Floor jack I have is from America in either the early 1950s...
