Here are photos of how to build a strong lift arm for the S-23 BLACKHAWK Jack.
1. The original liftarm was made from different thicknesses of Steel plate as seen in photos. 6.2mm and 6.7mm
2. The original liftarm was welded in misaligned which helped to distort the lifting action.
3. The original liftarm had no internal braces for strength as seen from underneath side photo.
4. The new liftarm has internal cross braces for strength they are 8mm plate.
5. The new liftarm is made from 8mm plate.
6. The lift arm diagram for lazer or high pressure water cutting is included should someone want to make one for themselves.
7. The kit as arrived from USA is there, however you may find it may only include about 50% or 75% of the required seals...
8. The unijoint that locks and releases the liftarm was broken so It was MIG welded. It may have been better to TIG weld but expert MIG welding solved the problem and gives it suburb strength. This is seen in the photos.
9. In the new liftarm is the original cylinder sleeves that have been cut out and rewelded into the new liftarm. Dont let others tell you it cant be done. Its not that hard to do.
