Sorry Brian... In Michigan....this is B.S. and not worth even mentioning as a tool for the contractor to get paid. The fund is bankrupt...The system is painful and expensive...Even if a ruling is granted in contractor's favor...He still has to COLLECT which has its own set of crazy rules and...

I think you are already on to something with the Milwawkee jobsite radio done by Fosgate...Its plenty loud....with clarity...a few bass boost settings..good antenna...durable....purty but not too much...except the cord and storage for cord *****! Take cues from Makita power tools as to a quality...
