Considering buying a BendPak lift ?

Yeah, he can seem like that if you just parachute into his channel and this video is your only frame of reference. He just moved into a new shop and is not a typical video for him with most videos of him doing salvage rebuilds. His is from the Chicago area and his dry wit and sarcasm does...

    Anyone else like Channellocks?

Used it the other day for the first time on a suspension job on my Jeep and by the third wack, head and handle got all wobbly. Will have to figure that out. I really do not like messing with handle replacements.

I weighed it yesterday and with handle came to 1 lb, 11 oz. So 1.5 lbs or 24 oz head.

It is smaller than a 2.5lbs HF one I have. Maybe 1.5lbs? Not sure how these were sized when sold.

Tooltopia closing down their ecommerce website January 22, 2025

Received a email from Tooltopia that they are closing down their ecommerce website on 1/22/25. Seems they are concentrating on their shop equipment "Atlas Auto Equipment". No clue if they are totally getting out of hand tools. While I have not ordered from them of late, they were always one of...

What is ironic is that Mel Brooks had a Gentlemen's agreement with George Lucas permission to parody the Stars Wars franchise as he saw fit (minus a few exceptions) but he was not allowed by Lucas to officially merchandise the Spaceballs movie. Any Spaceballs merchandise you see today is...

    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

NAPA and consistency has never been their strong suit. Only you know your patience level to know when to cut bait, but I would be looking to another tool source in the future if you are wanting less instances of what you are dealing with now.

Those look like ***. Channellock will warranty them for workmanship. I had a set of 386 bent nose pliers that looked like they were finished by Helen Keller. Channellock took them back and gave me an acceptable replacement pair. Took about two weeks to get them swapped...

    GEDORE RED on Amazon

The "Made in Germany" label does not necessarily mean the majority content, raw materials, assembly and final finishing is done in Germany. They are pretty loose with that label over there and many of the German brands have initial stage manufacturing done in Eastern Europe locations.

We noticed the same thing at work where we make detail parts used in aviation manufacturing. They stopped ordering Sharpie brand markers and just use the Milwaukee ones now. I think the Milwaukee ones also have a better shelf life than Sharpie. I know Sharpie makes some more specialized markers...
