MRCOOL DIY Mini Split, Seriously, I Think...

So mine has been running happily for a couple months till today. it's just dead. Won't come on, no lights, fan or error codes. Thought it was the condensate pump cutting power to it but verified the tank was empty and clean. The 1 and 2 terminals both show 120v to ground so the pump is not...

MRCOOL DIY Mini Split, Seriously, I Think...

I just got my 3rd gen 18k DIY installed this week. At coldest setting on Turbo it's reading 6 amps using my clamp meter. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong? That's half what I was expecting. I have it set at 86 and it's keeping the garage there without seemingly working very hard. lt's...

MRCOOL DIY Mini Split, Seriously, I Think...

Those special fittings on the DIY charged lines... Do they re-seal if you remove the line? Wondering if the unit can be moved after the install without loosing the refridgerant.

    Hot when plugged in?

Just got a new Metabo die grinder. Plugged it in to test it out and all seemed well. Left it plugged in. Came back a few hours later & picked it up & the back of it near the speed dial is very warm. Not hot, but quite warm. Is this normal? I wouldn't think it'd be warm at all just from...

    Burr extension?

Got it. Quality looks good, if a bit heavier than I expected. Not a bad thing though. Balance is good. Haven't worked with it yet, but I did spin it up in my new Metabo & it remains glass smooth on max. No noticable vibration.

    Burr extension?

Well, I'm giving the one on Ebay a shot. Just bought my first elec die grinder & a few burrs for some upcoming projects. It's worth trying this before investing on a selection of long shank burrs. thx --Dan

    Burr extension?

Anybody ever tried one of these? It's an extension you chuck up in a die grinder & has it's own collet for the burr. Just wondering if they can work as advertised or are just waiting to maim you...
