I’m So Cal. We have a hose-man to buy hydraulic adapter fittings. Hopefully you do too. Be very careful high pressure requires high pressure fittings and hose.

If the piston has a o-ring and the steel wall thickness is thin the compressible gas or air by passes internally at the piston in the bore.
