Common use for SAE 19/32 socket?

From my late father's Proto 1/2 drive set. They're still listed in my 1980 Proto catalog.

Utica 4" adjustable wrench -spoken for-

I was going through my bottom 'junk drawer' in my rollaway and came across this little wrench. I know that there are some Utica collectors here and thought someone might like to have this. It's in pretty good shape and fully functional. It is free to first come, first serve. Just send me a PM...

    Craftsman Pliers

They are Indestro Super pliers. They were actually my dad's and I've had them at least 40 years.

    Proto Socket catalog listing.

Thank you. Nothing from the '80s, but I'm glad you pointed out the website. I've bookmarked it for future reference!

    Proto Socket catalog listing.

I am trying to find some info on 4 larger Proto 1/2" drive sockets (1-5/16, 1-3/8, 1-7/16, 1-1/2); to be more specific, I'd like to have an image from an early '80s (pre-Stanley) Proto catalog listing these sockets and the other smaller ones. I have an example from an early '60s catalog. The...

Craftsman Hand Tool Manufacturers & Date Ranges

Thank you! I kinda remember buying them years ago before Sears took a nose dive. Have never used most of them.

Craftsman Hand Tool Manufacturers & Date Ranges

Today I was reorganizing my sockets and realized that some of my Craftsman 1/2 drive deep sockets have no date code at all. The sockets in question are 18-27mm and are laser etched (10-17mm are dual marked and stamped G2D). They are listed in my 2008 Craftsman catalog and are practically new...

    Proto 1/2 drive sockets

I am looking for 2 Proto 1/2 drive regular sockets to round out my set that belonged to my dad. He was given the set just a few months before he retired in '81 so I believe the set is pre-Stanley, as the ratchet, breaker bar and sockets have the "square" logo (and two rings around the lower part...

I bought myself some ratcheting wrenches for my birthday. After narrowing my choices down to USAG and Williams, I decided on the USAG set. I didn't really care for the holder that they came in and I just happened to have an extra Ernst wrench holder. It took about 2 weeks to be delivered as they...

Have You Broken Any Tekton Tools?

I broke a 1/2 to 3/8 impact adapter taking lug nuts off, not once but 3 times. The first 2 times Tekton sent me a replacement, but a couple of months ago when the 3rd one broke I just bought an Ares adapter from Amazon. I know, I should have bought 1/2 impact sockets to begin with.

I recently sold my Craftsman 1/4" drive socket set because the laser etching had worn off of most of the sockets after being used for so many years. Although I can usually pick a socket size just by looking, I sometimes need to look at the size and my eyes are getting old. They were replaced by...

    Craftsman Pliers

I've had my Craftsman pliers for over 25 years. They are used almost daily and still work fine. I haven't really had a good reason to replace them yet, although I have considered buying some shiny new ones as of late.

    2022 Lowe's deals/sales/clearance thread

The cashier peeled off the yellow clearance stickers and stuck them on a separate piece of paper and kept them. The item number is 871142.

    2022 Lowe's deals/sales/clearance thread

Found these at a Lowe's by my house. They were on a table and were marked down to $65. An associate noticed that I was looking at them and said if I was interested, he would drop them to $35. Apparently they had been up in the rafters as he put it and Vornado was simply coming out with a new...

Looking for a nice screw driver set

I have had the Tekton high-torque screwdrivers and nut drivers for a while now after giving my 40+ Craftsman screwdrivers to my son. I am really impressed with them so far. After looking on their website earlier, I noticed that as far as nut drivers, they only list 6 standard and 5 metric. The...
