Williams 19-piece screwdriver set.
Williams (Snap-on) hard handles and Williams (Bahco) mini-drivers. These were about $135 shipped on Amazon. Was going to get them from Zoro for less and use a 20% code on top of it, which would be a killer deal, but their prices literally jumped way up after I added to my cart and before I could check out (now $188 on Zoro).

Tell me about it .. but I’m not into supporting price gougers and I know that’s not the msrp for these .. I’ll wait my 6” version are doing just fine for everyday tasks

jesus.. thats just nuts. I bought a pair, and gave it to a buddy for his birthday. I spend round 40$ which is already tough despite I paid 35ish for the 8” version.

The soft handle Williams drivers are legacy Irazola designs made in Spain. They are very nice and the handles are super comfortable although pretty large. I am a fan and its nice to see they are still available with different branding.

Advance Auto haul tonight. $70 worth of tools sitting here all on sale. The individual sockets were not on sale however I know the people who work at this location and received a discount on them too. The impact sockets were $10 for the shallow set and $13 for the deep wells. I will put those to good use on the Freightliner. The big ratcheting wrenches were $8 each the small I believe were around $5 each. Dad bought me the ratcheting line wrenches he said they looked useful so he wanted to get them for me and I appreciate them and will try to use them when I can. Still doesn’t replace regular line wrenches though. The AutoCraft 15mm was $3 and I wanted a longer one as I’m putting together a longer set of wrenches now. They actually laughed at that one because that brand hasn’t been in their store tool wise in about 8 years they said so it’s all old stock stuff. The only thing I use 15mm on is my personal stuff usually so it will be fine for that. Then the magnetic spark plug socket 13/16 I got for $6 just about all of my old stuff has 13/16 plugs in them so that will be useful too. The $70 includes the wrenches he bought for me the total I paid was around $45 because the line wrenches were the most expensive thing. The only thing I really didn’t need were the two chrome sockets but I can’t resist a good deal. I might spend a lot on tools but they will all be put to use. I had to leave before I bought the whole tool department LOL.

Stubbies to fill out my driver set and the new ramp gauge. My driver didnt have the pocket prybars, he's gonna hear about it next Tuesday!20220208_161414.jpg

My dealer didn't have the prybars either. He didn't seem to know about them. But now he's got some on order for me.
I didn't ask about the ramp gauge (aka spark plug gap tool), but I want that too. I have the older orange hard handle version.

The smaller ratcheting wrenches were gone at my location. But a lot of the same in my haul.
Think the 21&22mm were $6 something here. My Flex gear wrench set only goes to 19mm so I grabbed those 21&22mm to help fill the blanks on the cheep.
Also grabbed that 13/16in spark plug socket because it should be useful on air-cooled VW engines.
I did pass on the ratcheting flex line wrench set because it is missing the 11mm and that is what I use the most on brake hard line work.
The 1/2in shallow SAE Impact set I got was the TEQ Pro and also 9pc, finish is shiny compared to the Correct set of deep I got. Dunno... but I was curious if the TEQ Correct set was 10pc, you showed me its is the same, 9pc. Think its the 7/16 missing compared to the 10pc Deep. Odd but oh well.

On a side note I looked at the TEQ Vise Grip style pliers that were on clearance. Not at all happy with the jaw alignment and really loose feeling. I only grabbed the set with clamping pads to use for welding or in the wood shop. Think it was $6ish and same style clamp goes for 20-30 on amazon to clamp pocket hole jigs.
I also returned the 1/2in Dr Metric socket set with ratchet when I grabbed the 1/2in SAE deep impacts. I thought the set with Ratchet was SAE... Good deal at $17ish but do not need Metric, don't Need SAE either but kinda wanted the ratchet for the money. All the clearance ratchets left at my location were nothing special.

I have the GW equivalent, for lack of a better word they **** imo. It doesn't take much for them to mess up a slightly difficult to remove flare nut in short order. I sold mine at a garage sale.
The only use I've gotten out of them is using them to back out fittings. Break the nuts loose with proper line wrench, the use the flexible ratcheting end to reduce time spent spinning the nut out.

My dealer is new. Hes an old co-worker of mine. Our old dealer hired him on to run half the route as they couldnt service their entire area with one truck. Hes still a bit slow on the promos and knowing whats coming so no surprise he didnt have them. I had to flip him some grief for having a whole rack of overpriced gap tools...then I bought one :ROFLMAO:

I recently sold my Craftsman 1/4" drive socket set because the laser etching had worn off of most of the sockets after being used for so many years. Although I can usually pick a socket size just by looking, I sometimes need to look at the size and my eyes are getting old. They were replaced by a Tekton set which I am perfectly happy with, except the spinner handle. The handle is really small and it seems to be an afterthought. If the handle was the size of Tekton's larger screwdrivers, it would be a lot more comfortable in the hand and easier to work with ( I included a picture for comparison). So I started looking for one with a comfort grip handle and a female end that accepts a ratchet or extension. I ended up getting one distributed by Wurth and I'm really liking it. Not sure who it's made by or where but it fits the bill.

Husky 1/4” drive Roto ratchet. Picked it up off eBay from a surplus tool distributor. Nice ratchet, but I’m thinking unless you go with the Cornwell or Carlyle 100 tooth models, you might as well stick with the Tekton or Pittsburgh Pro model.

Picked up some more Rubbermaid Roughneck totes today in prep to move/store stuff when the loft gets put on the market. And this round seems to have very loose fitting lids comparative to the ones I bought a couple of years ago. A shame because these totes are normally very good, I've never had complaints about them before. Hoping with some heat/time they might tighten up some.

My Snap On dealer said the pry bars are on order. They are new and he hasn't received his shipment yet. He said sometimes it is luck of the draw which side of the Country gets them first.

Stopped the truck today. Dealer showed me the inventory for both the prybars and "ramp gauge". Prybars were already showing 0 and the gauge was near 0. But both are on order regardless.

My current and former dealer both have full trucks. But I'll be damned if they are always out of what I'm wanting at the time. New or old stock.

Right, what the heck was I thinking?

In my defense though, the coupon does only allow 1 use per day.

And how many days ago did you make the purchase. ???

Day 1 buy build
Day 2 buy build
Day 3 buy build
Rinse and repeat

How many are you planning. If it was me... I would have 3 or 5... all different colors to make rainbow carts by swapping the drawers around.

I bought my first BOXO tool. It's a BOXO 1456002 1/4 drive hex ratchet tee handle with bit extension.

It's a reversible 88 tooth ratcheting tee handle bit driver. the center of the tee handle accepts any 1/4 hex bits as does each end of the handle. the left side of the handle is removable to use a bit holder or a short bit extension, or you can place it in the bottom of the other side to make more of a ratchet than a tee handle. The bit extension has a black sliding collar. when pushed rearward, it reveals a 1/4 square drive to use with sockets. Slide it all the way forward, it holds 1/4 hex bits. Crisp ratcheting action, nice chrome, nice knurling. if you don't want the two piece kit, each piece is available separately. I like it. I'll see what I can do to it at work. Has a little heft to it.

^ interesting gizmo.
The "Boxo" name is a new one for me.
Do you know whether any of their product line is made in country? Or is the entire product line outsourced? Their "about us" kind of dances around the question.

"in country"? as far as I know the entire BOXO line is made in Taiwan.
