Yeah slab buts up to foundation/stemwall that sits about 6” higher. Wimped our and left it about 8” from the wall.

Thanks for the very thorough response! It’s actually 28x28 with an attached 20x8 entry (think 36x28 less an 8x8 notch) on 6” slab. Has 2x4 walls with r13 that are 10 tall with vault peaking at 13’. Ceiling has r38. Windows doors and garage door are insulated. Have 4 loops but only plan 1 zone...

New garage/shop has 16x7 door and just realized that the 8500w is only rated to 14’ wide doors. What are folks using for ‘wide’ doors (at least by lift master terms)? Yes, it has to be a side mount opener. Myq is absolutely preferred.
