    Great Garage Makeovers

Little did I know that when I put VCT down in my garage and posted a few pics on GJ, that I would be featured in this magazine! Carl was great to work with. My garage is the $340 VCT floor...it's still holding up great!

current owners of VCT floored garages..

I installed mine about 1 1/2 months ago and I'm very happy with it. I did a solid gray/beige color and I'm very satisfied. I used a mop on Zep sealer and polish from Home Depot. The neighbors have all commented how good it looks. For the cost, I still think VCT is a great solution and spot...

Can you provide any manufacturers or recommended products for doing this? How is it applied? Something I can do?

VCT & Garage Organization - Finally!

It is slippery when wet and you need to be cautious when walking, not driving. I haven't had any problems with the wife jacking on the brakes and taking it through the garage into the kitchen! However, if that does happen....well, I guess we'd cross that bridge when we get there.

Indeed, you are right down the road (I had to find you on Google maps since I'm still getting used to the area). I moved to eastern PA from the Pittsburgh area (Go Steelers).

VCT & Garage Organization - Finally!

It's been unusually hot in PA the last few days (mid to high 90s) and I haven't had any problems with hot tires yet. I'll let you know if I notice anything though.

Thank you. I installed it when it was slightly below the recommended temperature, but the tiles seem to have bonded just fine.

VCT & Garage Organization - Finally!

I bought them at Lowes and I'm very satisfied. You can buy the fully assembled Gladiator ones for more money, but these ones were very well packaged and went together rather easily, and came out square. I looked around quite a bit before deciding to go with Gladiator. I'll get the...

VCT & Garage Organization - Finally!

For anyone wondering, I used Zep Sealer (2 coats) and mop on Zep High Traffic Polish (4 coats) from Home Depot. I think it's 20% solids. I was happy with the results and it's held up well so far. I waited about 30 minutes between each coat and I just used a $1.00 mop from Home Depot to apply it.

VCT & Garage Organization - Finally!

Thank you. Some day I hope to have a larger garage, but for now it will do the trick. It's been really enjoyable taking the garage and making it into something functional and aesthetically pleasing. I did it because I enjoy projects, but I also did it with the mindset that it will add value...

VCT & Garage Organization - Finally!

Well, my wife seems to have a problem that we have a finished garage but the inside of the house has plenty to be done. At least everyone here can understand me... We just bought a new construction home in Dec 07 here in PA and the garage was my first project to tackle and I think I'm finally...

    VCT tiles

They aren't peel and stick. They are applied with Armstrong S-750 adhesive (recommended) which is applied with a trowel.
