    Quincy 26gal Compressor...Good Choice?

I checked with Quincy, and they told me these compressors are built in SC. Since Belaire is in SC and has the identical compressor, I called them. They were actually pretty helpful, and gave me some information: - The pump is a B3800 made in Italy - The tanks are made in the US in NC - The...

    Quincy 26gal Compressor...Good Choice?

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm replacing a oil-less Craftsman that died (motor burnt...tried swapping both the start and run caps, but nothing). It was very loud, and the frequency was very annoying...being near it actually made my teeth hurt. So not doing that again... If they're...

    Quincy 26gal Compressor...Good Choice?

Yup...20A upgrade is no problem...happy to make that swap. Sounds like conflicting reports of Made in USA components. I know the motor is Mexico, but was under the impression the pump and tank are USA. Does anyone have one and can confirm either way.

    Craftsman Wrenches Made in China

Sorry if this topic is well worn, but I was frustrated to see that Craftsman wrenches (the traditional ones with the raised forging on the handle) are phasing to China made. My store had a few sets of the Made in USA stuff, but most of the inventory is now China. You can tell from a distance...

    Quincy 26gal Compressor...Good Choice?

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200481743_200481743 I need a movable compressor, and I don't do a lot of painting or sandblasting, so this is what I'm planning to buy...unless anyone here has strong opinions to the negative. Looking for a step up from the big box compressors...

Plate Mounted Made in USA Compressors?

Been looking at options to build my own compressor "plate", but I'm not in the mood to order a bunch of components and bolt them up. Seems like most of the pumps on eBay are no-name, along with most of the motors...and even with that the cost will head north of $300. Bottom line is I think...

Plate Mounted Made in USA Compressors?

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Hoping to find a pre-built unit I can just bolt on. Also will need a guard...I've got a 3 and 5yo running around. Lots of pumps and motors available...but very few that are already setup.

Plate Mounted Made in USA Compressors?

There are some options... This is a Jenny, but for $700 I could buy a pretty nice complete compressor: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Jenny-F34A-B-Base-Plate-Mounted-115V-Electric-Air-Compressor-F-Pump-/200679998108?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb975c29c&vxp=mtr This is a cheapo version...

Plate Mounted Made in USA Compressors?

Hi Folks, My first post here...I chose this site because of all the helpful information I've found here! I'm a Made in USA advocate, and am willing to search around and spend a little more money for it. All my tools are Made in USA...I insist. I need to replace my dead Craftsmann oil-less...
