Old and new hot water tank runs out quickly

Turn up the heat and install a mixing valve. Only basic hand tools and skills needed. This should increase the available amount of hot water at your fixtures and will decrease risk of bacteria growth in storage tank. Of course the other option is installing the right sized water heater...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Whats wrong with this Prentiss? Everything I've read about this 181 indicates it should have a swivel base. It looks like it is either missing or has a fixed base. Any ideas?

    Basement Epoxy Floor

I have a 400 sq foot basement area that I'd like to use for storage. The concrete was poured about a year ago and has a plastic vapor barrier underneath. I was thinking of using an epoxy system on the floor. I was going to grind the surface with an Edco single disc machine with stones then...

    LED Florescent Bulbs

The quality of the lights was pretty decent. It wasn't the typical cold LED blue it was slightly warmer. Again, these were in a non temp controlled parking garage and were tied into motion sensors. They lit up to full brightness right away.

Who has switched to a cordless impact

I have the Dewalt 18V cordless impact and I like it for the most part. I went with the Dewalt because I have a ton of 18V batteries and other tools. The impact has a decent amount of power but make sure your batteries are fresh and well charged. If I had to to it all over again I think I...

    Got a new flashlight today

Cool light. I have a little flashlight fetish myself. I like the fact that the charger has space for a spare battery. Streamlight makes good stuff, I have a Litebox rechargeable that they repaired no questions asked.

    good work pants?

They may not be made in the US but I bought a couple pairs of tactical pants that were seconds from LA Pixels gear for 13 bucks. They are ripstop and have plenty of pockets, a zipper fly and are cheap.

Anybody with RC airplane hanging in the shop?

I use stainless steel cable threaded through fuel tubing that supports the fuselage just behind the engine and just in front of the elevator.

    Surveillance systems.

Ok this won't be cheap but look into Sony IPELA cameras or Panasonic IP cameras. If you need wireless and you are far from your site research Airlink Raven modems. You can set up a computer that has access to the internet to act as a DVR.
