Interesting planing tool with tilting head.. What is this?

I'm sorry if this has been covered, but I searched and can't find it anywhere. This looks like a wood plane blade holder, but it is at the end of a handle on a swinging/tilting head. I thought the tilt would help it cut slightly curved surfaces, but the face is perfectly flat, so I don't think...

    Machinery & Equipment Catalogs

I have a bunch of catalogs I would like to buy.. I already see the Whiton Catalog in your list that I would like "Catalog/Whiton Machine Co./Geared Scroll & Independent Hardened Plate Type Chucks/1960" Is this still possible?

    Parker Vise Jaw Inserts

Whoops.. I should let you answer in case I would learn more, but it looks like the 974 has a 4in jaw, 974-1/2 has 4-1/2in wide, and 974-1/2 also opens 1/2in longer, at 7in. Bernie

Is this a good deal on a drill press?

If I needed that size machine, I would pay $100 for it too. Better than new ones at that price. Bernie Bernie

New furnace, is my water heater permanent now?

I just replaced my water heater, and found out it was locked in like that already! Here's a pic of what I needed to do to get it out and the new one in. I needed a car jack and sledge and chisel!! The car jack actually made this whole thing possible: Then I realized the pressure relief...

What would you pay for this bench?

I appreciate the nice drawer and steel top, and would have said 75-100 based on if it really feels solid. Bernie
