    Semi Portable Tool Organization Suggestions

Thanks for the great ideas, I really like the milk crate cart idea as well, also very nice bench Bessy, I will be borrowing some ideas from that bench as well. It may be slow, but I will try and post some pics of my progress.

    Semi Portable Tool Organization Suggestions

Just a pesky Millennial looking for some ideas here. Maybe I am just trying to justify being lazy, but after being in our house almost 8 years I still can't get my garage organized. A little background... I live in a regular mid-western subdivision house with a 2-car garage. I have quite a...

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

Looking to buy a M12 Fuel 1/2 Stubby impact (2555) bare tool. What is the best deal, it doesn't seem like it's an item that goes on sale by itself.

    Legacy Gift List for Children

Very good idea, this is something I never put much stock into, now I have a bunch of paper weights with handles.

    Legacy Gift List for Children

You're right, I was a little generous with the word "Legacy" these will be tools to put in their tool box and be used, not a generational gift to pass along. I will have a few of those generational gifts to pass along as well, but they tend to go BANG.

    Legacy Gift List for Children

Maybe a bit of a dramatic title but I am looking for some help/ideas. I have two sons, they are toddlers now, but I plan to sock away some hand tools every year and gift them to them when they move out. I am shooting to spend about $100 a year on tools to pack away for them. I am sticking to...

ID These Floor Jacks - Are They Worth Rebuilding?

Ok, so I guess they are scrap metal? That is sort of surprising since I saw these being used everyday in a tire shop and these are the only two that I ever saw fail but hey a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then! Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

ID These Floor Jacks - Are They Worth Rebuilding?

Also, can you please let me know which screw adjust what. I assume since there are 4 screws these jacks have a rapif pump feature?

ID These Floor Jacks - Are They Worth Rebuilding?

My first job when I turned 16 was working at Discount Tire Co. One day we were cleaning the shop and they were going to throw away two floor jacks that did not work, I volunteered to lead the throw away efforts :D:. Well 11 years later I am tired of my my cheapo floor jack and I thought I...

Give me your thoughts or comments on this old compressor

My grandfather recently passed away and so the family is going through his belongings. I have a weak spot in me for any old tools especially if they are heavy :-) Well here is an old compressor that I got my hands on, if you look closely in the pictures the patent date I believe is 1925. It...

    Mixing Your Own Concrete

I think i'm leaning towards renting a mixer and doing it myself. I just need to price raw materials vs bags. Seems that bags would take the guess work out. 6 cu ft tow bwhind mixer is only $50/day. I think my dad and I could do that in a day or two at the most.

    Mixing Your Own Concrete

I have a concrete driveway that is not the most robust. Plenty for a fifth wheel or motorhome, but a concrete truck is a little different. The other path would be through the are of the yard that has a leach field in it. By my math: 11" Deep x 22" Round = 4182 cu in 4182 cu in x 18 poles =...

    Mixing Your Own Concrete

Looking to build a pole barn to store an RV in. After recently being made aware of the updated code requirement here in Ohio, I have come to realize my post holes are BIG! 22" Diameter with 11" of poured concrete in the bottom. This adds up to a good bit of concrete, (close to 2 yds) and my...
