My grandfather recently passed away and so the family is going through his belongings. I have a weak spot in me for any old tools especially if they are heavy
Well here is an old compressor that I got my hands on, if you look closely in the pictures the patent date I believe is 1925. It appears to be an old AC compressor bolted to a GE 1/4 hp 1725 rpm motor.
Electric cord is wired right into the motor so there is no switch or pressure switch, and the air hose is coming right off the compressor no tank just direct. And this thing is heavy! I'm guessing 80 to 100 pounds motor and compressor together. So other than posting this to hear a few of your comments, do you think it would be a good idea to wire it up to a pressure switch and add a tank?
