Let's talk about those "mobile" garages, trailers!

Open car trailer with solid wood deck. Then you can put your cars, mowers and bikes on it. No need to enclose it for that. You can add a way to mount a work bench to the side and an enclosed toolbox to it. Big tall box trailers catch a lot of wind so they give you a lot of drag compared to...

Trying to balance kids stuff and my stuff in garage

Move your van out of the garage. Bam, crazy room. You might get a corner of space someplace for 'yourself' but realistically you gave up 'yourself' stuff when you had 6 kids. Time to spend some time doing 'family' stuff with your kids until they don't want to do stuff with you anymore.

Vertical Bandsaw vs 4x6 horizontal/vertical for metal

These options seem to fit what I might need for the lite metal working I do. The steel I work with I only get up to 3/8th and it's usually going to be flat.

Vertical Bandsaw vs 4x6 horizontal/vertical for metal

Is there any reason not to buy a 4x6 horizontal/vertical metal bandsaw? I mostly only cut flat steel and it's just in my home garage (no plans of using it to make money). Is there a traditional vertical bandsaw out there for cheapish? I mean I'd feel really happy under $500 but could go as...

    Used oil containers...

I use a 5 gallon red plastic gas can. It's held up fine for years. I just wrote oil on the side of it in case anyone ever thinks about touching it. I carry it into the auto parts store when it's full to dump it. They've never seemed confused about what I'm doing. Must not be the only one...

Nice cuts on thick sheet metal

Thats pretty cool, I might use that blade for another project I'm thinking of. Seems my best bet is to get with a supplier to see what they can do for me for a table top.

Nice cuts on thick sheet metal

I'd like to build or buy a welding table. How does one go about getting the right sized top? I don't have a plasma cutter or anything like that so what is the normal way to go about getting a clean cut sheet? New to the metal working.

    Bandsaw for Metal

Suggestions for a home shop? I'll never be manufacturing things for sale but I'd like something that can do accurate cuts in steel up to say 3/8th and DOM large enough for roll cages. What kind of choices are there out there?
