well I ended up going with the 6 bulb fixtures with those skinny little bulbs... not sure what there called... I'll see if its bright enough ;) electricity gets turned on friday hopefully :D been a long road excited to show GJ
Ok I'm building a 40X100 stick built shop/apt...
20X40 on the end of the building will be living quarters.
I'm doing the wiring myself, the wiring inspector (issuing the permit) told me were going to treat it like a 511 area which to me sounds like its just going to be treated like a straight...
I was thinking 4 rows equally going the length and then taking either 4 foot or 8 foot units all the way down the rows 8 feet or 4 feet apart respectively.
so in an 80 foot long shop each row would have... 5 8' footers so 20 units total.
I want it to be bright I HATE dim shops

20 X 40 in the back a 2 story apt.
my building inspector said all I need is 2 means of egress not including the garage entrance and a 2 hour fire wall
<<< NOT AN EXPERT<<<< I'm doing something very similar and also not sure about the grading to the drain... not sure if I actually need a slope as much as an absolute flat plane and I'll use a squeegee to get the water to the drain if it doesnt evaporate from the floor heat...
