On the front down by the floor a lot of times they will be stamped or molded with the manufacturers name. If not there then there usually is a tag somewhere on the back.

If your gonna insulate between the roof joists make sure you stuff the cavity tight with insulation. You don’t need ventilation if the cavity is packed tight. If you use a faced insulation you don’t need to put up any plastic because the paper is a vapor barrier. This isn’t 1970 anymore plastic...

If you look at manufacturers instructions from companies like Lasco of Kohler they say no caulk.

We use metal shop liner for a ceiling. It will hold the weight of insulation even on 4’ centers. I prefer 7/16 osb on the walls. It makes it easy to hang shelves without needing to find studs.

Your roof pitch will be the factor in height unless you do a gambrel room truss to get max storage capabilities.

No do not caulk it. The tub is made with a lip behind the walls, the crack needs left open for water to drain back in the tub. If you caulk it you will create mold issues. Mold will eventually start to grow on the caulk and will start growing inside the crack if moisture gets in there.

My tool box is probably 15 years old so I doubt there is any kind of warranty left on them.

I have a weatherguard model 117 tool box in my truck. The gas struts are wore out and I'm wondering if there is a way to cross over the part number to a cheaper strut? Weatherguard strut is a 7249. I can't justify almost $100 for 2 struts.

Yep came from them. I wanted that prototype box but didn't have the cash to swing it at the time. A buddy has a 56" tool vault and it's almost identical to my lower box. I'd like a side locker and was thinking about a mastercraft from menards since they offer blue and don't cost $600.
