I received my first Tekton order last week. I picked up some of the long screwdrivers in the outlet section. Well made!

    A few Machinist tools…

I was definitely excited to see the note. Husqvarna was his last job before retirement. He supervised the model shop, which made prototypes of chainsaws, trimmers, edgers, etc. Sounds like the engineers in the building would come up with a tweak or modification and they would build it for them...

    A few Machinist tools…

My father was a machinist for 40 plus years. He had given me a few tools through the years. He passed away earlier this year. I’ve been digging through my own tools organizing and putting them in a new cart. I opened up his micrometer case and found a note in it. Also pictured is a set of drill...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

As seen in my other thread: Worked on this last week, first vise restoration. I soaked the vise parts in oxalic acid then wirewheeled them. I used rustoleum hammered silver paint. Still some cleanup I need to do on the vise handle, and I might replace it as its slightly bent. Thanks to Rickster...

    First Vintage Snap-On (Blue-Point) Score!

Went to the local antique stores at lunch today. Found a new spot with lots of tools. First off the 15" Snap-On Blue-Point crescent wrench....great shape, I assume its an older wrench. Also picked up the Stanley No. 81 Cabinet Scraper. Got 20% off for buying both. $25 for the wrench, $45 for...

    NOS Vise Grip Score

Found these three Vise Grips today at a local feed and seed store. It appears the 7R is not really made in the USA, but the 7LW and 7CR are. The 7LW and 7CR have dates of 2003 on the card. Not bad at $12/each. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
