A few Machinist tools…

My father was a machinist for 40 plus years. He had given me a few tools through the years. He passed away earlier this year. I’ve been digging through my own tools organizing and putting them in a new cart. I opened up his micrometer case and found a note in it. Also pictured is a set of drill bits I have used for various woodworking projects….not sure the age of those…

I was definitely excited to see the note. Husqvarna was his last job before retirement. He supervised the model shop, which made prototypes of chainsaws, trimmers, edgers, etc. Sounds like the engineers in the building would come up with a tweak or modification and they would build it for them. I still have yet to get his toolbox, which I will bring home eventually.

I know when I was doing what you're doing now, it was hard to read notes like that due to my eyes watering up. Probably all the dust...

Anyway, that's some good gear and treasure the note.
