Anyone have an expirence with HF blast gun?

i use pressure pot type, as well as the gravity fed one. the gravity job isn't heavy enough for a doorstop. considering the limitations on this tool, i don't even use mine anymore. unless you're doing very limited areas without heavy rust, they're ok. i've done 3 tombstones and several...

    noisey anvil

thanx for all the info. unfortunate, but the anvil must be moved about to allow other work. cant be permanently attached to anything. if anything, the idea to put insulation overhead seems to be the most practical. my big anvil in my outside shop-- i love the noise, and seems to not bother any...

    Your Favorite Hammer

around 40 years ago, i took to the art of handengraving. couldn't afford the outrageous price of engravers hammers. so-- i made my own. i still use them to this day. they are recycled engine valves.

    Garage floor for Welding

best of both worlds. my outside shop has plain, ordinary dirt. no fire hazzard, absorbs all spills, and doesn't care if weld spatter, or cutting torch slag gets on it. totally maintnance free, and never cracks ! same color year after year-- designer dirt.

Hi From London and a Steel Workbench Question

i had a record work positioner. used it for years. it had a built-in clamp that would clamp onto a bench about 4" thick. my one bench, made of 1/4" X 3.5" ANGLE iron accepted this vise with no problem. i'm thinkin your vise may differ from mine.

hi all: i go by the nick of monk. been a toolman forever. am a retired oil painter (portraits), handengraver for about 40 + years. i carve stone, make signs, use a laser, a plotter, woodlathe, cutting torches-- the usual garbage one collects, and calls them tools. have done a bit of...
