newbie here to intro

hi all: i go by the nick of monk. been a toolman forever. am a retired oil painter (portraits), handengraver for about 40 + years. i carve stone, make signs, use a laser, a plotter, woodlathe, cutting torches-- the usual garbage one collects, and calls them tools. have done a bit of blacksmitherry. have done 3 tombstones, and have yet to rob a bank. that's on my bucket list. i look forward to maybe learnin somethin from those that lurk here. being a mod and forum archivist, i know the rules very well (engravers cafe .com) i'll likely be askin questions when i get to know this place. i'll gladly answer questions the members may have in store for me.
