Local lumber yard had 4 X 8 Foil Sided insulation, $4.95/sheet. Made a template to have each piece be just a little oversized so when in place, it would have a...

Males perfect sense! Thank you! So the first step, grind the surface Second step, apply coating product Third step, clear. I've yet to figure out which product to use, but it will be a basic light grey, with no flakes, regardless. I'm leaning towards doing one 20x36 section at a time due to...

Coating 2160 sq ft shop floor

Fred, first of all THANK YOU! Secondly, should I do the entire area first, or do it in sections? Since I have (3) 20' wide sections, all 36' long, should I do them individually?

Coating 2160 sq ft shop floor

So I'm understanding so far, the first step would be to diamond grind the entire surface. Anything special to understand about the first step? - certain machine, RPMs,? - How will I know the surface is ready? - anything else?

Coating 2160 sq ft shop floor

I'm all ears Banker! The sealer was applied immediately after the concrete cured when we built the shop to give it a "slick" look and it didn't even come close!!!!!!!

Here's my 2nd Thread: My Shop!

It's going to be 8' wide, and 12' long, with 8' walls and a simple pitch roof. Nothing fancy :) Also, we're building the walls and floor inside, because we've had some bad weather lately. Should be completely framed and roof joists on by this weekend with siding and shingles installed shortly...

Mustanger, At some point I'll show you the shop I grew up in, and this is a far cry from it. We work out of it almost daily, and on weekends, there's several friends working on multiple projects at any given time. Its always changing and having an addition show up from me or friends.

I'm involved in the bass fishing industry and have that one end totally dedicated to that alone. The structure you see being built is a shed (not a ice house/shanty).
