After doing some research and looking around at various forms of insulation and DIY kits, I ran into a deal yesterday that was perfect! Local lumber yard had 4 X 8 Foil Sided insulation, $4.95/sheet.
Made a template to have each piece be just a little oversized so when in place, it would have a slight bubble effect to act as a dead space so the foil wouldn't be right next to the door skin.
