You should be good. I've run a cnc plasma table now for 4 years at my business, and I might have enough used consumables to fill a 16 oz cup. A bad pierce or blowback from an incorrect setting are the worst for them. Normally they last a long time.
If you have the room go with a 5 x 10. I have a LDR with a powermax 85. It's a great table for the money. There's a ton of tables on the market now. I almost bought an Arclight Dynamics, but I liked the bladder style water table on the LDR.

i bought a Kobalt auto darkening helmet at Thanksgiving. It was on sale for $99. I really like it. I keep it on shade 12 for MIG. It is a big improvement from a cheap auto darkening helmet.
