Yeah it was simply holding the driveshaft still while about 18" down the line, we were pressing in u joints. Completely blew my mind.

Got it. Having gone down the turbo M20 road twice now, I'd say you made the right choice.

Why head studs? Just curious. :beer:

I have the largest craftsman vice they sell and it's a *************. It snapped in half simply holding a driveshaft in place while I pressed in new ujoints. That was a few months ago and I haven't even bothered to replace it yet.
